How Orders Work
Understand every stage of a laundry order — from the moment a customer drops off clothes to final delivery and payment.
The order journey in simple terms
Every laundry order moves through clear stages. Your team updates the status as work progresses so everyone — counter staff, washers, managers, riders, and customers — knows exactly where each job stands.
Order stages explained
- New — order just created, waiting for pickup or drop-off processing
- Pickups — rider is assigned or scheduled to collect clothes from customer
- In Process — clothes are at your store being washed, dried, or pressed
- Ready — job is finished and waiting for customer pickup or delivery
- Out for Delivery — rider is taking clothes to the customer
- Delivered — order complete and handed to customer
- Cancelled — order was cancelled at any point
Payment status on each order
- Unpaid — no payment received yet
- Partial — some amount paid, balance remaining
- Paid — fully collected
How orders get created
- At the counter — staff creates the order in the dashboard with services and price
- From the customer app — customer books a pickup; staff add item details later
- At pickup — rider can add line items when collecting clothes from customer home
Documents you can share
- Invoice — printable bill for the customer
- Barcode tags — for tracking garments inside your store
- WhatsApp link — quick way to send order details to a customer
Why this matters for your business
Clear order stages reduce mistakes, cut down on customer follow-up calls, and help managers spot delays before they become complaints. When every handoff is visible, your team works faster and customers trust you more.
